These terms are an agreement between you and not set, who operates this platform. By creating an account you accept them. If you do not, do not create one.
1. What an account gives you
An account lets you practise previous-year GATE questions, sit timed tests, and see your results analysed. Practising is free. Some live exams require a paid subscription to the paper they belong to; where one does, you are told before you enrol, never after.
A subscription is to one paper for one GATE season. It starts when payment succeeds and ends on the date shown at purchase. Buying a subscription does not entitle you to papers you did not buy.
2. The questions
The questions are previous-year GATE questions. GATE is conducted by the Indian Institute of Science and the IITs; we are not affiliated with them, not endorsed by them, and this platform is not an official GATE resource. Question text belongs to its originators. Our answer keys, explanations, classification and analysis are ours.
You may use all of it to prepare for the exam. You may not republish it, sell it, or feed it into another product. Downloading in bulk, scraping, or automating access is not permitted.
3. Your account is yours alone
One person, one account. Sharing credentials, selling access, or sitting a test on somebody else's behalf will end both accounts without a refund. You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself; tell us promptly if you think somebody else has it.
You may follow up to 2 papers. Once chosen, changing a paper is a request an administrator reviews, because the choice decides what you are shown and what you are charged.
4. Live exams and proctoring
A live exam runs to a schedule, against the clock, with everyone sitting it at the same time. Where proctoring is switched on for a paper you are told before you start, and the test page says so while you sit it. Proctoring may record that you left the exam window, that no face or more than one face was visible, and may auto-submit your paper after repeated violations.
We do not store video. What is recorded is the fact that a violation occurred, when, and of what kind.
5. Scores and ranks
Marks are computed by GATE's own scheme, including negative marking where it applies. A GATE score out of 1000 is shown only for a whole paper and only once enough candidates have sat it for the figure to mean anything; it is our estimate using the published formula, not an official score, and it predicts nothing about your actual result.
Leaderboards and percentiles compare you against other users of this platform, who are not a representative sample of GATE candidates.
6. What we may do
We may add, correct, withdraw or re-classify questions — the bank is edited continuously, and a question found to be wrong is withdrawn rather than left standing. We may release papers year by year, so a paper you subscribe to may not yet show every year of questions. We may change these terms; material changes will be dated here, and continuing to use the platform after that is acceptance.
We may suspend an account that breaches these terms. Where the breach is not deliberate we will say what is wrong and give you a chance to fix it first.
7. What we do not promise
We do not promise the platform will be available without interruption, that every answer key is correct, or that using it will improve your result. Where you believe an answer is wrong, report it on the question; we would rather know.
To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim arising from your use of the platform is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending it
You may stop using the platform at any time and ask us to delete your account — see the privacy policy for what happens to your data. Refunds are governed by the refund policy, which forms part of these terms.
9. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at the seller's place of business have exclusive jurisdiction.
