The short version
Full refund within 7 days of purchase, provided you have not submitted a full-length test on that paper. Write to the email at the foot of this page and we will process it.
1. What you are buying
A subscription gives you access to one GATE paper for one season. Access begins the moment the payment succeeds. Practising the question bank is free and needs no subscription — what a subscription adds is the live exams for that paper.
2. The 7-day window
You may cancel and be refunded in full within 7 days of the payment, as long as you have not submitted a full-length test on that paper. Sitting a topic test, a subject test, or practising questions does not use up your right to a refund — only a full paper does.
We can tell which it was: attempts are recorded against the paper with the scope of the test, so this is checked rather than argued about.
3. After that
After 7 days, or once a full-length test has been submitted, the subscription is not refundable. The reason is plain: the thing being sold is access to the papers, and once a whole paper has been sat it has been used.
4. When we refund regardless
We will refund outside those rules, in full, if:
- You were charged twice for the same paper and season.
- You paid and access was never granted, and we could not fix it.
- We withdraw a paper you had bought, or fail to deliver the live exams promised for that season. In that case the refund is proportionate to what is left of the season.
5. How to ask
Email the address at the foot of this page from the address on your account, saying which paper you bought and when. You do not need to give a reason. If you have one, we would like to hear it — but it is not a condition.
6. How long it takes
We will acknowledge within 2 working days and, where the refund is due, instruct it within 5 working days. It is returned to the original payment method. Your bank then takes its own time — typically 5 to 7 working days, and we do not control that part.
7. Cancelling without a refund
You can stop using the platform whenever you like, and ask us to delete your account under the privacy policy. Doing so after the refund window does not create a refund, and deleting an account does not cancel one that is owed — ask for the refund first.
8. Disagreements
If you think a refund was wrongly refused, say so to the grievance officer named at the foot of this page. They will look at it independently of whoever answered first and reply within 30 days. This policy forms part of the terms.
